Samarium oxalate, Sm2(C2O4)3
Samarium oxalate, Sm2(C2O4)3.10H2O, is obtained as a yellow, crystalline precipitate by adding a solution of oxalic acid to one of a samarium salt. When potassium oxalate is used as precipitant, samarium potassium oxalate, Sm2(C2O4)3.K2C2O4.5H2O, is obtained (Cleve).
