Samarium orthophosphate, SmPO4

Samarium orthophosphate, SmPO4, is obtained in the crystalline form by fusing sodium metaphosphate with samaria, allowing to cool, and extracting the mass with water. It is a crystalline powder of density 5.83 at 17.5°, insoluble in water (Cleve).
